Statement, Fakuma 2017
As the traditionally largest exhibitor and cofounder of the trade fair, Fakuma is highly significant for us. It’s distinguished by its highly practical approach, technical expertise and a friendly atmosphere
We’re very satisfied with Fakuma. Our booth was very well frequented every day, feedback was outstanding and we received numerous concrete RFQs from both inside and outside of Germany.
As the traditionally largest exhibitor and cofounder of the trade fair, Fakuma is highly significant for us. It’s distinguished by its highly practical approach, technical expertise and a friendly atmosphere. Personal contact plays an important role: The visitors appreciate being able to scrutinise the exhibits live and discuss them with us. Due to the fact that all of our contact persons are on-site at the event, international projects can also be discussed with minimal legwork.
With a wide-ranging programme, we’ve shown the international expert visitors in 2017 that we not only offer suitable “smart” machine technology for every requirement, but that we’re also at the disposal of our customers as a technology partner for all of their concerns.
With a total of 10 innovative exhibits – most of them fully automated turnkey systems – we showcased efficient production of plastic parts. The spectrum ranged from additive manufacturing of a function module with a lot quantity of 1 and injection moulding of a great variety of variants on demand in the spirit of Industry 4.0, right on up to automated mass production of 7700 IML cups per hour. This was augmented by further exhibits with demanding applications at the booths of our partner companies.
The biggest (in the truest sense of the word) highlights at our booth were the two large ALLROUNDER injection moulding machines with their new design and a new GESTICA controller. We presented the ALLROUNDER 920 H with a clamping force of 5000 kN for the first time in its new outfit, and worldwide sales for the ALLROUNDER 1120 H with a clamping force of 6500 kN were launched on the occasion of Fakuma.
There was great interest in our new Industry 4.0 practice example as well, which is custom-tailored to the concerns of the injection moulding sector: a compact turnkey system produced flexible tensioning ropes in various lengths, colours and end-piece combinations from shot to shot on demand. Trade fair visitors were able to enter the desired variant directly at a terminal and started the work orders themselves in this way.
For us, Fakuma 2017 was not just an ideal platform for introducing our range of products and services, but rather for meeting experts and specialists and recruiting them as employees as well. Already in 2015, we were the first exhibitor to have a separate recruiting booth – a successful concept which we’ve continued to pursue this year.
As Europe’s most significant trade fair in 2017, Fakuma is an important trend barometer for us – as it is for the entire industry sector as well. Positive feedback from the international expert visitors, as well as their good mood, allow us to look forward to the months ahead with confidence.
