VEMAG Builds for the Future: New Production Hall Underway

A significant milestone for VEMAG: The company is strategically advancing its growth with the groundbreaking of a new production hall. The 4,600-square-meter building represents a substantial investment in the company’s future and further solidifies VEMAG’s ongoing success.

The new hall is utilized for the manufacturing of double screws and infeed scrolls for vacuum filling machines.

The double screws, which are central elements of the vacuum filling machines, gently transport flowable products using the double-spindle principle. The entire feeding system consists of only two parts, the double screw and the double screw housing. Thanks to a quick changeover, which can also be performed by the operators, production can be switched to a new product in the shortest possible time. The small number of parts simplifies intermediate cleaning, significantly reducing downtime. The influence of new materials and improved geometries on essential product features of the vacuum filling machines is evident from the hopper

– Optimal hygiene thanks to the first-in-first-out principle

– Quick and easy maintenance

– Maximum weight accuracy of the end products

– High output rates

– Low maintenance costs

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new production hall was celebrated by the management in the presence of the mayor and representatives of the press. In his speech, CEO Andreas Bruns emphasized the importance of this investment: “The groundbreaking ceremony for the new hall confirms our commitment to putting the customer at the center of everything we do. By expanding our capacities, we will be able to drive innovation even faster in the future and take our already outstanding values in the areas of weight accuracy, gentle product handling and the durability of our double screws to a new level.”

“The entire production process will take place in the new building: from the storage of base materials to innovative production solutions and packaging,” says Production Manager Jonas Hohls. “This approach will minimize distances and optimize efficiency.” The building is scheduled for completion in 2026, just one year after the groundbreaking ceremony. Designed to be future-proof, it will set the course for further strong growth in the coming years.

The investment for the new hall amounts to approximately 7.5 million euros. In addition, further funds are being invested in the purchase of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. These investments are an important part of the company’s ongoing efforts to make production more efficient and thus to further increase its competitiveness and innovative strength.

The relocation of the double screw and infeed scroll production from the former hall will also create growth for the remaining production areas. This supports the long-term positive development of VEMAG and creates new space to produce more innovative machines and attachments.
